REPOSITORY UPLOAD

The accessibility and archiving of scientific results and publications is not only in the interest of the individual researcher, but also of the university, faculties, and institutes. Depositing publications in the institutional repository not only contributes to increasing citation counts but also supports the assessment of the university’s overall scientific output.

At Óbuda University, the handling of publications is regulated as follows:

“The archiving of papers and publications produced by the University’s faculty members and researchers is carried out in the Óbuda University Digital Archive (ÓDA), the institutional repository operated by the University Library. Faculty members and researchers affiliated with the University are required to submit an electronic copy of their published works — in accordance with applicable copyright laws — to the University Library for archiving purposes.”
(Excerpt from the regulations)

For repository deposit, the author must complete a declaration specifying the permitted modes of electronic use of the work. In the case of multi-author works, preferably the corresponding author or the first author should submit the declaration.

If the rights to the published work are held by the journal or publisher, it is still possible to archive the preprint/manuscript version. The full text can also be made available with an embargo period if necessary.

When submitting a publication for deposit, please send both the electronic version of the publication and a scanned copy of the completed and signed declaration to the following email address: open.access@uni-obuda.hu

For any questions regarding archiving and open access, please feel free to contact the staff of the University Library, either in person or via the email address above.

The Declaration Form can be downloaded here.

If you want, I can also prepare a shorter, website-optimized version of this so it works as a clear guide for authors while keeping all the key compliance points. That might make it easier for researchers to quickly find the steps they need to follow.
