The Arcanum Digitális Tudománytár (ADT) is Hungary’s largest and continuously expanding digital periodical database, offering comprehensive access to hundreds of Hungarian scientific and professional journals, as well as weekly and daily newspapers. It contains tens of millions of digitized pages and provides a constantly growing collection of scientific and professional journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, and thematic book collections.

In the ADT database, every word, expression, personal name, and place name from the processed content is fully searchable within the complete text of documents. Search results are presented in an organized list, with highlighted excerpts showing the relevant context. In the displayed documents, the system automatically highlights all matches, making navigation fast and efficient.

The platform also ensures precise referencing, making digital content a full substitute for printed versions, which are often difficult to access. All digitized materials are available as dual-layer PDFs, allowing full-text searching while simultaneously displaying the authentic scanned version of the original documents.
