SciVal, developed by Elsevier, is a comprehensive research analytics and institutional benchmarking platform that provides insights into the research performance of over 20,000 institutions worldwide. Powered by data from the Scopus database, SciVal enables the visualization and evaluation of research output across institutions, countries, and disciplines. The platform supports both broad institutional assessments and highly detailed analyses at the level of departments, research groups, or individual researchers.
With SciVal, users can identify emerging research trends, explore potential international collaboration opportunities, and generate customized reports tailored to specific researchers or research teams. These reports are particularly valuable when preparing funding applications, project proposals, or institutional evaluations.
At Óbuda University, both Scopus and SciVal are available to support research and strategic planning. Remote access to SciVal is also provided via Neptun authentication, allowing researchers and academic staff to make full use of the platform’s capabilities from anywhere.
